What is Fiber Optic Media Converter?
What is Fiber Optic Media Converter? Tube. Duration : 5.57 Mins.
www.fiberoptics4sale.com A fiber media converter is a simple networking device that make it possible to connect two dissimilar media types such as twisted pair with fiber optic cabling, as shown in this picture. Twisted pair cable, coaxial cable and other copper cabling can only support limited length before signal becomes too weak. On the other hand, optical signal can propagate in fiber cables for very long distance before signal becomes too degraded. So fiber optic cable is used to extend the network, from 2000 meters up to 120 km. A fiber optic media converter has two interfaces. One interface is the local electronic interface, may it be a RJ45 Ethernet, or RS-232 serial data interface. The other interface is usually a duplex fiber interface with ST, SC, or LC connectors. One of the optic port is the optical transmitter. The transmitter accepts coded electronic pulse information coming from copper wire. It then processes and translates that information into equivalently coded light pulses. A light-emitting diode (LED) or an injection-laser diode (ILD) can be used for generating the light pulses. Using a lens, the light pulses are coupled into the fiber optic cable and transmit down the line. Once the light pulses reach their destination they are channeled into the optical receiver port of the media converter on the other end. The optical receiver converts it to an electrical signal containing the information coded on the light at the transmitting end. There are many ...

My Vertical Loop Antenna for 80 Meters
My Vertical Loop Antenna for 80 Meters Video Clips. Duration : 5.48 Mins.
hooked it up and got infinite SWR until I unwound the extra turns from the two posts. Was able to get a SWR of about 1.2:1 with the MFJ Versa Tuner 2. This was at 3.913 MHz. Will try to make a contact soon. Probably next week. From the following site I determined to feed the antenna directly with 50 ohm coax www.qsl.net "The feed point can be anywhere along the wire, but is normally made near one of the supports simply to lend stability to the antenna system. A loop is a loop, so anywhere you "break" it for the feed point, it's still a loop! The use of a balun is controversial. Some argue that the feed point impedance must be compensated for through the installation of a balun. Others argue that the installation of a balun will result in the radiation of undesirable harmonics and the loss of power. Tests that we ran way back when I was in college at the antenna laboratory at OSU resulted in the determination that directly feeding the loop with 50 ohm co-ax was most desireable. A quarter wave length of 75 ohm co-ax may be inserted in the feed line for a closer match if you desire." Directly feeding the loop antenna is obviously the simplest, however, you be your own judge and feel free to try it both ways. All 3 of my loops are directly fed with 50 ohm co-ax. My 17 and 10 meter loops are both vertically suspended and are relatively in the clear but low to the ground" www.eham.net "To Balun or Not To Balun feeding a full wave loop? « Reply #3 on: June 22, 2004, 05:58:20 PM ...

CST MWS Tutorial 07: Design of a Half-wave Dipole
CST MWS Tutorial 07: Design of a Half-wave Dipole Tube. Duration : 8.60 Mins.
Hello, I'm back again. I know it was a long time, but I needed that gap since I had a very busy schedule in the last few months. I was working on a research paper and eventually published it in IEEE xplore. Plus I had to sit for IELTS. Hardly could manage time. It takes much time and labour to produce videos and I usually sacrifice my leisure time for them. So, if you find my tutorials helpful, please do not forget to leave a comment and a like. Visit and like CST MWS Tutorial Facebook page. www.facebook.com This tutorial shows you how to design a Half-wave dipole antenna geometrically. After geometric design process, a port was defined for the dipole. The half-wave dipole is fed at the centre by a balanced transmission line like ladder line. We usually avoid coaxial cable to feed a dipole directly since coaxial cable itself starts to radiate and degrades the dipole radiation.

AT&T Archives: Voices From the Deep
AT&T Archives: Voices From the Deep Tube. Duration : 12.42 Mins.
To see more from the AT&T Archives, visit techchannel.att.com This film follows the laying of a cable from Jacksonville, Florida, to St. Thomas in the Virgin Islands. The CS Long Lines makes the journey of 1302 nautical miles. The cable they used, of the copper coaxial type (fiber optics wouldn't come into play until the late 1980s), was the very first undersea cable to use transistors in the repeaters instead of vacuum tubes. And this was 21 years after the invention of the transistor. This cable carried 845 channels, and was 1/10th of the cost of the very first undersea telephone cable, laid in 1956. You can see pictures of the cable's landfall, taken by a transmission engineer on the journey, at the Atlantic Cable site. More importantly, this was the first journey documenting AT&T's use of their newly-developed sea plow, which had been tested in 1967. In the Atlantic/Caribbean regions, undersea phone cables were frequently severed after being snagged by fishing trawlers. The sea plow, burying the cable, drastically reduced those expensive incidents. The plow, pulled by the cable-laying ship on sled-like runners, could bury cable on the ocean floor, under water up to 4600 feet deep. This particular cable was taken out of service in 1993. Currently, three cables run to this terminus in St. Thomas, all fiber optic and all put into service that same year, 1993. Project Blue Beam
Project Blue Beam Tube. Duration : 6.92 Mins.
The first step concerns the breakdown of all archaeological knowledge. It deals with staging earthquakes at certain precise locations around the planet where supposed new "discoveries" will finally explain (for them) that the meaning of the basic doctrines of all the world's major religions are "wrong." The second step deals with the gigantic space show. 3D optical holograms and sounds, laser projections of multiple holographic images in different parts of the world, each receiving a different image, according to its predetermined original national religious faith. This new "god" image will talk in all languages. The third step deals with telepathic electronic two-way communication. ELF, VLF, and LF waves will reach the people of the earth through the insides of their brains, making each person believe that his own God is speaking to him from within his own soul. The fourth step involves universal supernatural manifestations using electronic means. The waves (frequencies) used at the time will allow supernatural forces to travel through fiber optics cable, coaxial cable, electric and telephone lines in order to penetrate all electronic equipment and appliances that will by then have a special microchip installed. The goal of this step deals with the materialization of satanic ghosts, specters, and poltergeists all across the globe in order to push all populations to the edge of a wave of suicide, killing and permanent psychological disorder. After that night of the ...
