Soldering an XLR connector to an Audio Mic Cable aka Soldering 101
Soldering an XLR connector to an Audio Mic Cable aka Soldering 101 Tube. Duration : 11.80 Mins.
I've found that trying to demonstrate soldering to a group of students a problem. Too many people need to see the details. So, I made this video to show, close-up, the steps to soldering an XLR connector onto an Audio cable. This is not the end-all, be-all of soldering by any means. It does help my teaching a large group the skills. For more how-to type stuff for technical theater, please visit www.hstech.org I have another channel on YouTube now at "stageseminars."

Project Blue Beam
Project Blue Beam Tube. Duration : 6.92 Mins.
The first step concerns the breakdown of all archaeological knowledge. It deals with staging earthquakes at certain precise locations around the planet where supposed new "discoveries" will finally explain (for them) that the meaning of the basic doctrines of all the world's major religions are "wrong." The second step deals with the gigantic space show. 3D optical holograms and sounds, laser projections of multiple holographic images in different parts of the world, each receiving a different image, according to its predetermined original national religious faith. This new "god" image will talk in all languages. The third step deals with telepathic electronic two-way communication. ELF, VLF, and LF waves will reach the people of the earth through the insides of their brains, making each person believe that his own God is speaking to him from within his own soul. The fourth step involves universal supernatural manifestations using electronic means. The waves (frequencies) used at the time will allow supernatural forces to travel through fiber optics cable, coaxial cable, electric and telephone lines in order to penetrate all electronic equipment and appliances that will by then have a special microchip installed. The goal of this step deals with the materialization of satanic ghosts, specters, and poltergeists all across the globe in order to push all populations to the edge of a wave of suicide, killing and permanent psychological disorder. After that night of the ...

New Shure SRH1840 Headphone - Shure's First Open-Back Flaghship Headphone
New Shure SRH1840 Headphone - Shure's First Open-Back Flaghship Headphone Video Clips. Duration : 6.22 Mins.
Note to viewers: The video is an interview of Peter Barakan, who is a popular broadcaster in Japan, for his impressions of the new SRH1840 headphones; see link below for the translation of the interview (translated via Google Translate): translate.google.com The SRH1840 is 1 of 2 BRAND NEW Shure headphones that were released by Shure Asia a few days ago. The other headphone, not in this video, is the Shure SRH1440, which is also an open-back headphone. "For users who want professional-quality [The SRH1840] is an open-back headphone Shure developed in response to the views of the market. For the best quality music production and dynamic, requiring a professional engineer and sound comparable to the near-field reference monitors have been designed for audio enthusiasts seeking high-quality professional sound quality" The benefit of having open-back headphones is that you can get much better instrument separation and air between the instruments you hear in your music in addition to having a larger, more natural soundstage to deliver life-like sound as if you were hearing your music in a concert hall. This is contrasted to a closed-back headphone, which does not offer the same kind of sound space to the listener as a trade-off for passive noise isolation. In my opinion, they look absolutely GORGEOUS for an open-back headphone. The frame is made of an aluminium-alloy material, the driver's grills are made of stainless steel, and the earpads are made of a velour fabric, which ...

***NSFW, NSFYE!!!*** Busted Syma S107G Coax R/C Heli + Metallica's "Damage, Inc." :-(
***NSFW, NSFYE!!!*** Busted Syma S107G Coax R/C Heli + Metallica's "Damage, Inc." :-( Tube. Duration : 5.50 Mins.
The Syma S1076G Coaxial R/C Heli has now effectively become worm food. :-( Yes, this is the second video; this one is different because I added a long flight to show how slowly it maneuvers now and added the song "Damage, Inc." by the metal band Metallica. The tail rotor spins even when you don't want it to. Full reverse stick stops it; but this heli can no longer go in reverse and just slowly crawls along at full forward hammer (stick). The last segment of this video where it is prefaced with "Full reverse stick", you'll see the tail rotor move -- that was me, attempting to prevent a crash that would have otherwise happened. Otherwise the little propeller would have been absolutely still. Before I had the camera "rolling", I attempted a test flight without the tail rotor blades; it hung in the air for several seconds and then abruptly dropped to the floor -- deader than a doorknob. The heli's power had shut down, and I rather quickly detected the odour of burnt circuitry when I picked it up to examine it. Once I power cycled it, power stayed on, and no smoke issued from it; though the tail rotor motor had slowed considerably. This heli isnot sound-sensitive; the music may be ignored or even muted if it pisses you off. I added "***NSFW, NSFYE!!!***" (Not Safe For Work, Not Safe For Your Ears) because not everybody who views helicopter vids on YouTube is a metalhead and because the song I used has some toliet language in it. :-) More info. on my website in its eval. at ...
