This is my first attempt at FPV. I purchased this rig to test out my FPV video set up for my SkySurfer and discovered it was a blast running around all over my property. It all started on a Exceed Maxstone 8 when I added a platform to hold my 170 FOV day/night camera, 900 MHz transmitter with telescoping scanner antenna attached to springs so it bends when going under trees, mic, and 12 volt HUGE battery that can run this video set up for days (no joke). I added three groups of LED in red to light the way when sneaking around at night. The cameras pan and tilt is controlled by two servos from Hobby King . The pan servo is a HXT900 9gram and the tilt is a HXT12K 10kg metal gear. I had to use the larger servo due to the heavy 88gram camera bounces around a lot. All this is controlled by my Futaba 2.4G T10CHG and OrangeRX receiver which can control this rig from inside my house to all corners of my 6 acres and then some. I'm still testing the range but I'm very pleased with it on the ground. I placed the 900 MHz stock antenna on the roof of my house and ran coax cable to the receiver. I'm planned to add an OSD and GPS soon and see how well all that works with the system. I think a gripper claw and arm would be a cool add on.
